Only Chinese restaurant I'll order from! They're always nice, food is always on time and it tastes fantastic.
Last time I ordered and forgot to take the lock off my card and I forgot to change my number on the account (online ordering), so they drove to my house just to tell me it wasn't going through!
They really go the extra mile. -

Owner of the restaurant decided to have driver do 8 delivery's at once tonight. Went almost an hour away from where we live, and owner wanted to give us food that was sitting in cold car for an hour. Called and asked for new food and owner was unhappy about customer not wanting the cold food after waiting 1.5 hours for the food. Delivery couple is super sweet and felt really bad that they had to rush back and forth. Overall poor customer service tonight.

I'm very sad to write this review because this is one of my (favorite) places to eat Chinese food, but I got a bad portion of Cashew Chicken today. Usually it is spot on. The sauce was the same but the chicken was breaded; usually just sliced chicken in sauce. The breaded chicken taste like it was warmed up in a microwave. The egg rolls were left in the fryer a little too long. Usually the eggs rolls are delicious! Now today the owners wife was not there. She is usually answering the phones and taking payments. So I think her husband ( the owner) was super busy and overwhelmed. Still no excuse. I am sad to write this review and really hope things change for the better. Maybe due to Summer and kids being home from school they are short staffed? I will check this place again in the future to see if the food improves. Very disappointed today!

I'm pretty happy I went here. Been going across town to another Chinese/sushi place. That place I stretched to 4 stars but they are a little over priced. China Star is priced right and the sushi is fabulous. I definitely have to try their Chinese food sometime.
The place is more of a "takeout " place. There is some seating but it's limited and atmosphere is so-so. But we live nearby so it's easy enough to get it home.
I always order a spicy tuna to benchmark. The taste was fresh; color paler than other places. But I don't think that's a bad thing. Shrimp tempura roll is combined w avocado which gives it a creamy texture. -

Pretty impressed! After a few visits I've had California rolls, spare ribs, Four Seasons, egg roll, spring roll, wonton soup, house lo mein, and house chow mein. My only complaint is a minor one in that when I request "ridiculously spicy" I received "zero spicy". Everything tastes fresh as it should.
Efficient service, as well. China Star has earned a spot in my Chinese restaurant rotation.
